Conservation
Bird Research, Habitat Protection & Species Recovery
SafeNest Indonesia protects endangered birds by combining field surveys, habitat assessments, nest monitoring, and ecological research across key landscapes in Central and East Java. This work helps identify priority areas for protection and guides recovery actions for threatened species such as the Javan Green Magpie, Javan Blue-flycatcher, Rufous-fronted Laughingthrush, and Grey-backed Mynah.
Rehabilitation
Rescue, Care & Soft Release
Birds rescued from illegal trade, confiscation cases, or injury need careful care before they can return to the wild. SafeNest supports rehabilitation, husbandry improvements, soft-release preparation, and post-release monitoring so recovered birds have a stronger chance of surviving in suitable natural habitats.
Education
Conservation Learning & Public Awareness
Long-term protection starts with people understanding why birds and forests matter. SafeNest works with schools, teachers, youth groups, and communities through workshops, campaigns, outdoor learning, and nature education spaces that help the next generation become ambassadors for biodiversity.
Community
Local Conservation Teams & Wildlife Protection
SafeNest works alongside village communities so local people can lead protection efforts in their own landscapes. Community bird management groups, conservation teams, and anti-poaching patrols monitor critical habitats, document threats, protect nests, and help reduce trapping and habitat destruction.
